A Season of Reunion
In the first half of 2027, we will once again be welcoming a number of familiar faces and audience favourites back to Müpa Budapest, while a host of other musical treats also lie in store. Daniel Harding returns to the Béla Bartók National Concert Hall with the Orchestra of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome, Riccardo Muti arrives at the head of the Vienna Philharmonic, Philippe Herreweghe celebrates his 80th birthday, the Early Music Festival opens with a concert by William Christie and Les Arts Florissants, the Swiss La Cetra Barockorchester & Vokalensemble Basel visit Hungary for the first time, and Olivier Latry gives a joint concert with phil Blech Wien.
We will greet Eliane Elias once more at the Jazz Spring festival, while also welcoming John Scofield, who turns 75 next year, Julian Lage, Orsi Kozma and Robert Henke. Hungarian popular music will be represented by Európa Kiadó, László Kollár-Klemencz and Mörk. Sona Jobarteh, the Canzoniere Grecanico Salentino, Maria Mazzotta with Raül Refree, and Oum will all appear, while A Celebration of Folk Music pays tribute to Ferenc Sebő. The Ballet Company of Győr will introduce its latest production, while the Literarium and Müpa Film Club series will continue with new programmes.
Tickets for the new season will first become available to members of the Müpa+ membership programme: the pre-sale period begins for Platinum members on 29 September at 10 am, for Gold members on 30 September at 10 am and for Silver members on 1 October at 10 am. Base-level cardholders and the general public may purchase tickets from 2 October at 10 am.
