Platinum level members of the Müpa+ membership programme can buy tickets for the event on 29 September from 10 am, at the Gold level on 30 September from 10 am, and at the Silver level on 1 October from 10 am. Basic level members, as well as members of the general public will get the opportunity to purchase tickets from 10 am on 2 October.

When the mild-mannered pigeon-fancier, played by Jiří Menzel, appears on the screen, the enthusiastic film buff might declare it as “some kind of Czechoslovak new wave”. Some are reminded of Bohumil Hrabal. Others think of Vladimír Páral, who, like the creative duo of Géza Böszörményi and Lívia Gyarmathy, also worked as a chemical engineer, and whose novels always feature characters searching for the right path, or a means of escape. The story of our protagonist, a young doctor who moves to the countryside, is a little different. He finds himself in an environment that operates according to rules quite unlike those he is used to. The question is clear: will he adapt or escape? Put another way: will he resist or be worn down? Szívzűr is a tasty dish, for it is seasoned with the most piquant spices from the Czechoslovak new wave cookbook.
