Platinum level members of the Müpa+ membership programme can buy tickets for the event on 29 September from 10 am, at the Gold level on 30 September from 10 am, and at the Silver level on 1 October from 10 am. Basic level members, as well as members of the general public will get the opportunity to purchase tickets from 10 am on 2 October.

There’s everything here, just like in a village fair. And, of course, there is a fair deal more here as well. How could it be otherwise on St. Stephen’s Day, the anniversary of the foundation of the state, the feast of the constitution and of the new bread? Ferenc András’s film tells the story of a festive day, from the morning pálinka to the obligatory, yet all the more colourful, evening fireworks. Still, this particular day is special as Comrade Vetró, weary of ribbon-cutting ceremonies, descends among the People. And the People, blessed by God, do their best to show themselves at their finest. Hungarian hospitality. The more complicated question is how the People love, or would like to love, themselves. A little realist comedy. A tiny bit grotesque. In the background, a world in which everything has slipped into everything else. A pumpkin and poppy seed strudel that has it all. Some Hungarian Dada: plaster angels meeting Jesus and György Korda before the fairground canvas.
