Platinum level members of the Müpa+ membership programme can buy tickets for the event on 29 September from 10 am, at the Gold level on 30 September from 10 am, and at the Silver level on 1 October from 10 am. Basic level members, as well as members of the general public will get the opportunity to purchase tickets from 10 am on 2 October.

It was Károly Makk who adapted Sándor Hunyadi’s short story into a screenplay, together with István Örkény and Péter Bacsó. This is an innocent little film. Insofar as one can speak of innocence in a story set in an early-twentieth-century brothel. Moreover, the film’s images are beautiful. A young university student moves into the local brothel, where board and lodging are offered at a very reasonable rate. (Everything else costs extra.) That is all very well, until the young man’s mother decides to drop by. The question is whether, for the duration of this brief visit, the house of ill repute can be transformed into a respectable bourgeois establishment. And what will become of its residents and workers? For the industrious workers of the red-light house are people with desires and destinies, too. Now they must live through a temporary age of innocence. So no one should be surprised that this comedy also has its dramatic moments. Let us not forget: this is a brothel, after all.
