Platinum level members of the Müpa+ membership programme can buy tickets for the event on 29 September from 10 am, at the Gold level on 30 September from 10 am, and at the Silver level on 1 October from 10 am. Basic level members, as well as members of the general public will get the opportunity to purchase tickets from 10 am on 2 October.

Concert, sporting contest or television talent show? From the very beginning, the Organ Duel has borrowed from all three – this time, the head-to-head battle will be transformed into a team game. Six young organists will take part: the captains are to be chosen at random, before the players themselves decide which musical challenge each of them will take on. All of them study in the organ improvisation class taught by Thierry Escaich and László Fassang at the Paris Conservatoire. The tasks will be prepared by Gergely Fazekas and László Fassang, but the rolling of the dice, the changing of sides and the themes suggested by the audience have the potential to overwrite the teams’ tactics at any moment. There is no fixed script in the five-manual “cockpit”: the music is born there and then. The objective remains unchanged: not to play against one another, but with one another, for one another and for the audience.
