Müpa x SAUSKA

For experiences with lingering flavour

Culture always presents an opportunity for special encounters. An exciting fusion of two genres, a spontaneous conversation, or catharsis experienced in company can give rise to truly unexpected harmonies. The same is true of a well-matched blend of wines in which varietals and flavours perfectly complement one another. It was after this fashion that Müpa and SAUSKA crossed paths. Both brands represent combinations of variety and quality, of the creation of value and renewal over generations, and of the world class and modernity.

The family winery with a history stretching back a quarter of a century has put together a truly exclusive wine selection on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of one of Hungary’s outstanding cultural venues. Discerning wine-lovers now have the chance to be among the first to taste the premium white and rosé wines in this unique selection that also includes a remarkable red and a heavenly sparkling wine.

These bottles decorated with special Müpa branding are available exclusively at Müpa Budapest, they will not be distributed elsewhere. The range is available by the glass or bottle at the P’Art Café and the Mastercard Champagne Bar, as well exclusively by the glass at the snack bars.

#together MÜPA x SAUSKA WHITE

A lively and dynamic white from the vineyards of Tokaj-Hegyalja, nourished by a thousand volcanoes in the foothills of the Zemplén mountains. With aromas of crisp apple and white acacia, and flavours of green lemon rind, white tea and still more fresh apple. Refreshing and long in the finish, this delightful wine will have you always looking forward to the next glass. A blend of indigenous Yellow Muscat and Harslevelű featuring two international stars, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc, making for a thrilling example of what Hungarian and global varietals can do TOGETHER.

#generationsofmusicians – MÜPA x SAUSKA RED

Glowing reddish purple in the glass, our red is spicy on the tongue with tobacco notes, while it conjures up the scent of ripe red berries. The base for the blend is a masculine Merlot and a playful Kékfrankos, with the remaining third split between Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. The wine is given its structure by fine barrel-aged depth and notable freshness, and is a classical example of what the passionate GENERATIONS of vintners and winemakers from the Villány wine region are capable of.

#inmotion – MÜPA x SAUSKA EXTRA DRY

Chic and delicious, this fruity sparkling wine draws on the brilliant volcanic minerals from the soil of the Tokaj wine region. Fresh and dry to the taste, its trace of sweetness only makes this wine more attractive: bubbles laced with lemon, honey and apricot swirl around the bottle yet are perfectly balanced, dynamic and dizzyingly INMOTION.

#inharmony – MÜPA x SAUSKA ROSE

With refreshing aromas of cantaloupe and white mulberry, this rosé is long in the finish and packed with the flavour of juicy white peaches. This blend of Kékfrankos, Syrah and Merlot produces a lively and exciting flavour combination. Its duality is what makes our rosé so attractive: not even we know how its soft feminine maturity and explosive citrus freshness can be so perfectly INHARMONY.
