Platinum level members of the Müpa+ membership programme can buy tickets for the event on 29 September from 10 am, at the Gold level on 30 September from 10 am, and at the Silver level on 1 October from 10 am. Basic level members, as well as members of the general public will get the opportunity to purchase tickets from 10 am on 2 October.

Our world was undeniably changing in the 1980s. The new slogan was: “He who works, prospers.” One way or another. Private entrepreneurs, “economic work partnerships” (GMKs), moonlighters and others bent on exploiting themselves were looking for ways to create liveable little worlds within the more lax Kádár system, which was still alive and kicking. In his previous film (Tight Quarters, 1983), György Szomjas had already been concerned with how these habitats function. Here, the “biotope” is the housing estate. The tower block. Once again, Szomjas invented a new cinematic language. Our hole specialist, Géza, bores into concrete walls that nails cannot penetrate. Comical. But the real adventure is the bustling life around him, which dissolves into the television screens glowing from every direction, into advertisements, and into the gossip and murmurings that replace the news. A world in which neither tower blocks nor desire ever reach the sky.
