Platinum level members of the Müpa+ membership programme can buy tickets for the event on 29 September from 10 am, at the Gold level on 30 September from 10 am, and at the Silver level on 1 October from 10 am. Basic level members, as well as members of the general public will get the opportunity to purchase tickets from 10 am on 2 October.

We have been presenting A Celebration of Folk Music at Müpa Budapest with great success every year since 2008. This time around, we have prepared a thematic programme as 2027 would have marked the 80th birthday of Ferenc Sebő, who was an indispensable figure in Hungarian musical life until his passing in 2026. Whether they explored traditional dance-house music or setting poetry to Balkan music, Sebő’s songs formed an important part of Hungarian music history. In this celebratory programme, compiled from ideas by Bence Babcsán and, under his direction, by the members of the present-day Sebő Ensemble, the works of Sebő and Babcsán will be performed on stage by many friends with whom he frequently collaborated. Márta Sebestyén, Nikola Parov and Ágnes Herczku, Bea Palya, Szilvia Bognár, the Söndörgő ensemble, László Kollár-Klemencz, Iván Lantos, Tamás Jordán and Gábor Zoltán will all help pay fitting tribute to Ferenc Sebő.
