Platinum level members of the Müpa+ membership programme can buy tickets for the event on 29 September from 10 am, at the Gold level on 30 September from 10 am, and at the Silver level on 1 October from 10 am. Basic level members, as well as members of the general public will get the opportunity to purchase tickets from 10 am on 2 October.

According to the ancient Chinese calendar, the Year of the Goat begins on 6 February. Since 1998, China’s most important ensembles specialising in traditional music have set out to give festive New Year concerts in many of the Western world’s leading concert venues at this time of year. Two days before the start of the Chinese New Year, the Müpa Budapest audience will be introduced to the diversity of the traditional musical culture of the Middle Kingdom. This encounter between instruments considered exotic – such as the lute-like pipa and the two-stringed “Chinese violin” known as the erhu – in Europe, and the intimate memories evoked by the pentatonic scale already familiar to European music lovers promises a very special experience.

The Müpa Budapest underground garage gates will be operated by an automatic number plate recognition system.
