Platinum level members of the Müpa+ membership programme can buy tickets for the event on 29 September from 10 am, at the Gold level on 30 September from 10 am, and at the Silver level on 1 October from 10 am. Basic level members, as well as members of the general public will get the opportunity to purchase tickets from 10 am on 2 October.

Two legends, one concert: the 85-year-old Riccardo Muti harbours long-standing and close ties with the 185-year-old Vienna Philharmonic. The orchestra has frequently honoured the conductor with invitations, often in connection with special occasions. Muti is not only a master of opera and the Italian repertoire: he is equally at home in every style and tone, from the Viennese classics through German Romanticism to contemporary music On this evening, he will conduct Joseph Haydn’s Symphony No. 88 in G major, Richard Strauss’s rarely heard Le bourgeois gentilhomme suite and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 4 in B-flat major, giving him ample opportunity to demonstrate his affinity for the works of German and Austrian composers. To our great delight, he will also be leading a world-famous orchestra that has returned to Müpa Budapest almost every year since 2008.
