Platinum level members of the Müpa+ membership programme can buy tickets for the event on 29 September from 10 am, at the Gold level on 30 September from 10 am, and at the Silver level on 1 October from 10 am. Basic level members, as well as members of the general public will get the opportunity to purchase tickets from 10 am on 2 October.

“Most esteemed audience, a little silence please / Those yet to escape should now remain in their seats!” – the film begins with this piquant couplet by Gábor Presser and Dusán Sztevanovity, suggesting an hour-and-a-half of light-hearted entertainment. But the film does not keep its promise. Even American show-business films are not entirely carefree, and this is certainly no Broadway flick. The singing and dancing artists of our story, two men in one pair of trousers, are desperate to get onto the televised New Year’s Eve show. (This was one of the peak productions of the domestic entertainment industry at the time.) The refrain of the song, “You can’t do it alone!”, has, over the decades, become a common saying. Ripacsok, however, comes with a bitter tang. In this bawdy, half-naked world of entertainers, tiny dramas unfold that appear insignificant from the outside, yet are very painful when observed from within. The show must, nevertheless, go on. And the question hovers over us all along: can two of us – or any number of us – fit into a single pair of trousers?
