Big hitters and pretender to the throne

Partnering Sándor Köpeczi Anna Netrebko will perform the legendary role of Judith for the first time. Martin Rajna will take the Müpa conductor’s podium for the first time as Music Director of the Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra, while the Finnish conductor Klaus Mäkelä will lead the Amsterdam Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra on his Budapest debut. The Bach Collegium Japan will perform before the Müpa audience for the first time and the RIAS Kammerchor will also make an appearance. As the Artist of the Season, we will welcome Gábor Bretz.
Alongside Branford Marsalis, Dianne Reeves, and Joe Lovano, the young jazz titan Emmet Cohen will also pay tribute to John Coltrane.
