Platinum level members of the Müpa+ membership programme can buy tickets for the event on 5 May from 10 am, at the Gold level on 6 May from 10 am, and at the Silver level on 7 May from 10 am. Basic level members, as well as members of the general public will get the opportunity to purchase tickets from 10 am on 8 May.

There are realms where poetry and song are inextricably intertwined. This joint production by the ensemble known as Kaláka and the actor Zsolt Bogdán pays tribute to the remarkable poetic world of Sándor Kányádi. For the musicians of Kaláka, ‘Uncle’ Sándor was not only a composer, he also served as a crucial friend and spiritual leader for decades – and his art continues to resonate in their songs today. At this fully staged literary event, the evocative performance style of Cluj-Napoca-based actor Zsolt Bogdán and the iconic musical settings of Kaláka will combine to create a new, dramatic unity. Along with Valaki jár a fák hegyén (‘Somebody Walks Atop the Trees’) and Két nyárfa (‘Two Poplar Trees’), we will hear memories of shared journeys and other indispensable pieces from Kányádi’s oeuvre come to life. This evening promises a profound and uplifting encounter of music and poetry.
