Platinum level members of the Müpa+ membership programme can buy tickets for the event on 5 May from 10 am, at the Gold level on 6 May from 10 am, and at the Silver level on 7 May from 10 am. Basic level members, as well as members of the general public will get the opportunity to purchase tickets from 10 am on 8 May.

“The sky does not begin with the stars, but at the tips of blades of grass.” On this special evening dedicated to his own compositions, Károly Binder revisits the most important stations of his creative career together with outstanding musicians with whom – as the quote from Mór Jókai suggests – he started out from the tips of blades of grass. Now 70 years old, the pianist, composer and teacher views music as far more than just a series of notes; for him, it is a form of self-expression, a vehicle for ideas and a philosophy of life. For decades, he has been an inspiration to several generations of students, fellow musicians and fans. The Indian percussionist Ramesh Shotham first earned recognition as a rock drummer before returning to the traditional music of his homeland. He has since collaborated with such artists as Steve Coleman, Charlie Mariano, Carla Bley and Rabih Abou-Khalil. He first started performing and recording with Károly Binder in the 1990s.
