“The end has arrived… beyond which there is no further—unless one counts that sorrowful descent…”
Presented on the Literárium stage, this unconventional and compelling production draws from five short stories and two novels by Nobel laureate László Krasznahorkai. It explores one of the author’s enduring dilemmas: art and its solitary reception.
By alternating between internal and external perspectives, the performance reveals how – even within Krasznahorkai’s uncompromising, monologic style – a polyphonic richness can emerge, enhancing the playfulness of the text.
A true rarity, this production offers a unique perspective on the author’s work through a striking combination of powerful text, visual elements, and musical effects.
