Audience favourites return to Müpa Budapest

It is worth getting out the 2026 calendars even now as the second half of the 2025/26 season at Müpa Budapest promises countless events that are absolutely not to be missed. Audience favourites who never fail to bring the house down will be returning – including Cecilia Bartoli, Jonas Kaufmann, Víkingur Ólafsson and Daniel Harding – while the most beautiful works of the operatic repertoire will spring into life – Purcell: Dido és Aeneas, Handel: Giulio Cesare, Verdi: Simon Boccanegra . The audience will also hear the latest work by the Oscar-winning Tan Dun for the first time in Hungary. We will raise a glass next year to the 100-year-old Kurtág György, as well as one of Hungary’s most significant authors, György Spiró. Lakatos Mónika and Söndörgő will also celebrate three decades of making music. Our world music concerts will take us on a journey from Corsica to India, electrifying jazz formations will make spring all the more special, and our familiar series will continue with new productions.

Members of the Müpa+ membership programme who have attained Platinum level can purchase tickets for the new performances from 10 am on 23 September, Gold level members can claim their seats from 24 September, Silver level members will be able to join them from 25 September, while Basic level members and the general public will have the opportunity to get on board from 26 September.
