The documentary film Kurtág Fragments, directed by Dénes Nagy, focuses heavily on the key interpreters of the works of György Kurtág from around the world, who have collaborated intensively with the composer in recent years. Following a screening of the film, musicologist Gergely Fazekas will chat with three of them – pianists Víkingur Ólafsson and Pierre-Laurent Aimard, and singer Benjamin Appl as well as Nagy himself – about Kurtág’s music, their work with him, and the making of the film.
