Bálint Tárkány-Kovács’s poems are primarily known to audiences through the albums of Tárkány Művek, yet these represent only a fraction of his three decades of poetry. Typically, his poems are set to music, but these songs have remained as spoken verse, with speech as their primary medium rather than song. Although these are Bálint Tárkány-Kovács’s own creations, Miklós Vecsei H. will perform them during the course of the evening. The poems provide an understanding of the songs of Tárkány Művek, and the songs, in turn, will shed light on the poems. Music and text will become intertwined – sometimes the actor will sing, at other times the poems are accompanied by music, creating something we might refer to as concert poetry. The experience will be completed by the visual elements and set crafted by Ágnes Albicz and Rita Sámson.
