Budapest Spring Festival

The 36th Budapest Spring Festival awaits visitors with a programme that involves many of the arts, with events in classical music, opera, jazz and pop, world music, dance, theatre and the visual arts. With the best Hungarian performers and real world stars, the Budapest Spring Festival is a truly special occasion, presenting Hungarian and world premieres of musical and theatrical productions and co-productions with partner institutions throughout its seventeen days.
There will be dozens of venues in 2016: in addition to the Müpa Budapest and the Hungarian State Opera, the Liszt Academy, the Bálna Budapest, the Vigadó, the Budapest Music Center and other Budapest theatres, cultural institutes and museums will also be home to outstanding events. Realized in a cooperation between the Müpa Budapest, the Budapest Festival and Tourism Centre, and Hungarian Tourism Inc., the event series continues to broaden its offer by involving the leading cultural institutions of the city.
