Müpa season tickets 2014/15
The 2014-2015 season at the Müpa Budapest offers the audience a total of 15 subscription tickets. The Wagner subscription is an annual fixture, while the two series of matinée concerts are joined for the second time by the Chamber Treasures and the exclusive offering of the Orchestra Box. The absolute highlights of the coming year’s orchestral concerts are presented in the Soloists and Orchestras subscription. The rich programme of oratorios at the Müpa Budapest spans two subscription tickets, while fans of various styles of musical theatre productions and the human voice solo and as a choir will all find a subscription series to suit them.
From autumn 2014, the young talent showcased by the Rising Stars programme will no longer be performing individually in the afternoons, but in pairs in evening concerts, with jazz musicians also appearing for the first time. The six concerts of the Symphonic Discoveries series are split over two subscriptions as has become tradition. We will also continue to extend a special welcome and extra discounts to our patrons of a wiser age in the form of our Seniors’ Season subscription.
Our organ evenings will have a youthful air, while a 24-hour “organ party” in tribute to Bach will complete the celebration of the composer’s 330th anniversary.
Artist of the Season will be Dezső Ránki, with the honour of Ensemble of the Season bestowed upon Amadinda. Formed 30 years ago, the percussion group will celebrate with two sets of three concerts, for which subcription tickets will be available.
Familiar concerts and events will also return with Literarium, Müpacinema and live broadcasts from the Metropolitan Opera all taking their place on the programme. The hugely successful marathon concert of the Budapest Festival Orchestra will be spotlighting the music of Stravinsky in 2015. The premiere of the year at the Wagner in Budapest festival will be Der Fliegende Holländer.
