Wagner: Die Walküre - A music drama in three acts (German-language performance, with projected subtitles in Hungarian)

The second evening of The Ring of the Nibelung once again features an international star cast. German tenor Stefan Vinke, who makes his debut at the Wagner in Budapest Festival in 2015, has sung the roles of Siegmund and Siegfried since 2006 in Cologne, Venice, Lisbon, Berlin and at the Salzburg Easter Festival. The figure of the dauntless warrior Hunding is brought to life by Walter Fink, regarded for 30 years as one of the most eminent interpreters of the Wagner repertoire. The German bass has sung some 70 roles with the Vienna State Opera in more than 650 performances, receiving the title of Kammersänger from the prestigious opera house in 2011.
Latvian-born Egils Silins sang the part of Wotan on a critically acclaimed recording of Die Walküre by the famed Hallé Orchestra, and has also been seen and heard as the one-eyed god in productions of the work at the Monte Carlo and Zurich opera houses. According to the prestigious internet portal Opera Britannia, Swedish soprano Iréne Theorin is "one of Europe's finest Wagnerians”. She has sung the role of the rebellious valkyrie in Berlin, at La Scala in Milan, at the Munich Opera Festival and in the Palace of Arts, as well as in a production of The Ring by the Royal Danish Opera House that was also released on DVD.
