Bálint Gájer is planning to hold another unique concert at Müpa Budapest's Béla Bartók National Concert Hall. He has invited Hungary's pre-eminent big band, the Budapest Jazz Orchestra, for a giant shared music session.
They have already worked together on numerous occasions, with Gájer collaborating with the big band on both his first album and his latest upcoming record, though they have never appeared together for a stand-alone Bálint Gájer concert. The programme for the concert will feature classic swing hits alongside Gájer's own songs and covers from his albums. We will also have the chance to see and listen to special guest Péter Szolnoki, who has also enjoyed plenty of experiences, projects and work with the Budapest Jazz Orchestra in the last few years, notably on the Bon-Bon Swing album, which featured the group's best known songs recorded in a swing and Latin style. We are sure to hear a few of those songs, not to mention the odd duet!
