Magdi Rúzsa
1 July 2007 Sunday
6 pm - 8 pm
Festival Theatre

’One day, I would like to create something lasting, so if I die or anything happens to me people would not forget me. Who knows? Perhaps once when I was singing on stage, a boy and a girl met during one of my slow songs. Then I have already stolen into their lives, which is a fantastic feeling’ said Magdi Rúzsa. The young singer won the third series of the television talent show Megasztár in 2006, and her popularity has been unbroken ever since. Her first solo album appeared at the end of 2006, with Gábor Závodi as the musical producer. The record can boast with songs from numerous noted Hungarian composers. Gábor Presser and Péter Novák have also contributed music and lyrics to the album, which includes both lyrical and faster songs. One of Magdi’s own compositions also appeared on the album, and she herself wrote the lyrics for many of the other songs. ’It is a great honour to play at the Palace of Arts’ she told the press, thus it seems both she and we await her concert eagerly.
