The surname Tűzkő is well known to jazz fans. Salamon was introduced to music at an early age by his father, saxophonist Csaba Tűzkő, who has a defining influence on his musical development to this day. He is currently studying trumpet with Professor James Rotondi at the University of Arts in Graz, Austria. Until his move to Graz, he was a regular participant in the Budapest Nights jam sessions with István Karádi, Márton Pap and Brúnó Barakonyi. It was on one of these evenings they met Balázs Horváth.
Salamon Tűzkő began his studies on the classical trumpet at the age of nine, and owes much of his success to László Simai. He was captivated by jazz at the age of fourteen and was taught jazz theory and piano by his father. He played in the Brass Monkey Big Band and gained important experience in the big band exercises of the jazz department led by Attila László. Márton Papp was born in 2003 in Siklós. He is currently studying jazz saxophone at the jazz department of the Béla Bartók Conservatory, where his teacher is Gábor Kollmann. Last year, he was a finalist in the Young Jazz Musician of the Year competition. Balázs Horváth made his debut at the 2018 Jazz Showcase at Müpa Budapest. He is currently a student of Krisztián Oláh at the Liszt Academy, is mentored by János Ávéd, and teaches at the Ádám Jenő Primary School of Music in Budapest. He has won first place in several competitions. Born in 2002, Brúnó Barakonyi started his bass guitar studies in 2016 with György Szentgallay. Since 2018, he has been studying jazz double bass at the Bartók-Pikéthy Secondary School of Music in Vác with Zoltán Oláh.
István Karádi was born in Kiskunfélegyháza. He started studying jazz percussion with Elemér Balázs and Csaba Pusztai. He is currently a fifth-year student at the Béni Egressy Secondary School of Music. His playing style was most influenced by Philly Joe Jones and Art Blakey.
