Rising Stars 2022

Those who feel inclined to spend the second weekend of November stargazing at Müpa Budapest will get to encounter some celestial bodies arcing high above the music world’s horizons. An experimentally minded percussionist from Stuttgart, an exacting Frankfurtbased
string quartet, a British baritone who, despite his youth, can already boast a multitude of awards and recognitions, a Spanish oboe virtuoso and an evocative Ukrainian violinist are all waiting to demonstrate their skill to the Hungarian audience. We are also pleased to report that there will once again be a Hungarian participant: the world-class young pianist Zoltán Fejérvári, grand prize winner of the 2017 Montréal International Piano Competition. And of course, like every year, each concert will help expand our musical perspectives by featuring the première of a new contemporary work commissioned specifically for the concert series.
