Dilladelphia:
The name says it all. Although the band members find inspiration from numerous styles, their primarily influence is the fusion of jazz and hip hop – especially that of J Dilla and the music of Robert Glasper and Chris Dave that draws on his work. Their repertoire includes both jazz classics and their own compositions, all played with a sound distinguished by its playfulness. United by their fondness for experimenting with modern electronic sounds and unique grooves, all the members of the group are returning guests at the Jazz Showcase series and have received numerous special prizes. Both Tamás Fazekas and bassist István Siklai are being mentored through the National Talent Programme. Fábió Fehér took first place at the 2024 Gyula Babos Guitar Competition, and Albert Horváth was named Hungary’s Young Jazz Musician of the Year in 2020.
