Mariann Falusi is one half of the legendary Pa-dö-dö, but is also a whole Mariann Falusi. She is a singer and now past the half way mark of life: so if she cannot tell us wise things, she can at least sing wise songs. If she cannot sing about what life is all about (and that can mean anything: the world, life, love, conflict), she can report about it. But make no mistake: Because of You I Eat is not about dietary advice, nor is it a cheerful cooking lesson but a wild cry for help. Everything is because of you, you other person, but you aren’t interested, or you are but you don’t know what to do. The story of a few loves, or if all loves are the same, then the story of every love, a tale narrated in songs. We won’t learn what is the good in it all. But we will learn that it is good.
