The Palace of Arts is now presenting the New Orleans Swing festival for the fourth time, and thanks to its distinguished American and European performers, has developed into one of the region’s most important traditional jazz festivals. Following his highly successful concert last year, once again trumpeter and vocalist Tamás Bényei performs with his popular group, the Hot Jazz Band, and besides American evergreens, they will also be smuggling some Hungarian language material into the programme. Their guest soloists will be Tamás Berki’s former student, young vocalist Éva Bolba and Papa Fleigh (László Forgács), one of Hungary’s finest imitators of Louis Armstrong’s style, who will be colouring the production with show time elements.
