Since their formation 12 years ago, the Group'n'Swing band has earned a prominent place on the Hungarian music scene. The group have gained recognition from industry insiders and music fans alike, twice winning the Jazzy Music Contest and the Fonogram Prize in 2013, while one of their tracks was the theme song for the TV show Ridikül for many years. In recent years, they have regularly filled venues at Müpa Budapest, the MOM Cultural Center, the RAM Colosseum, the Castle Garden Bazaar and the Városmajor Open-air Stage, proof that there is a huge demand for their big-stage shows. Their performances are characterised by outstanding musical quality, majestically choreographed dance moves, a sunny disposition and a radiant positive energy that carries the crowd along with them throughout the show. The singer and singing teacher Zoltán Mujahid was a finalist in the Megasztár TV show and became the group's lead male singer in August.
For this concert, we will get to hear some of the greatest songs of the swing era alongside material from Group'n'Swing's three full length albums (Swing amíg élek; Botrány; Most légy férfi!). Whatever your age, you are sure to find one of your favourites in Group'n'Swing's repertoire of hits by Ray Charles, Michael Bublé, Nathalie Cole and Louis Prima. Of course, the group will also play a few Christmas classics, including Jingle Bells, Santa Claus Is Coming To Town, Let It Snow and White Christmas, as well as a few of their own songs.
