Their latest album “If The Train Has Started, Let it Run” turned “gold,” as did their previous Fonogram Prize winning Nobody Understands Anything. In the summer of 2008 they also conquered rock music audiences at the most popular Hungarian festivals! The band established their reputation during their first fifteen years with traditional performances of Transylvanian and Hungarian peasant music. Their concert album So Much Rain, So Much Mud was made in that spirit, but their 2005 CD Nobody Understands Anything opened the way towards a new way of thinking. Besides the music of Upper Hungary, Békés County and Transylvania, they also arranged three songs by Kispál és a Borz band, invited an American bluesman to join them and used the lyrics and singing of András Lovasi in such a way that integrates them all into a Hungarian folk music texture. It does go to demonstrate that in the relationship between Hungarian folk and rock music, it is not rock music that necessarily takes the initiative. We can almost say they have given birth to Hungarian traditional-alternative rock-ethno music! This new style has further matured on their 2008 album This Train… which features another Kispál arrangement and one by Quimby. Their many fans will be able to enjoy these songs in the concert but they will also witness some newer work. With this in mind, actor Áron Őze will be on hand to help them take further steps in drawing together the strands of Hungarian poetry and folk music.
