The Adrienne Bangó Quartet was established in 2021, the same year in which its founder won the Young Jazz Musician of the Year audience prize. A year later in 2022, the quartet itself became Jazz Showcase audience prizewinner: Its appearance comes courtesy of this award. Their repertoire primarily comprises familiar jazz standards, but their programme also contains a variety of arrangements. Besides jazz, they are also partial to R'n'B, funk and Latin music. We can be sure they have plenty of success ahead of them.

Zsolt Farkas from Slovakia graduated from the jazz department of the Liszt Academy in 2020. As soon as he enrolled at the university, he became a permanent member of the Nikoletta Szőke Quartet, where he has been playing the piano ever since. Previously a student at the Snétberger Music Talent Centre, he now works as an assistant at the institution.
Géza Jónás brings his energy to several line-ups, including the Reggie Jonas Jr Trio, which, as the winner of the professional award at the 2022 Jazz Showcase, will also perform on this day at the JazzTime festival. As a member of the János Egri Jr Quartet, he received a special prize at the 2014 International Student Jazz Competition in Târgu Mureș (Marosvásárhely), and he also provides the bass line for Egri's new trio.
Adrienne Bangó started studying classical violin at the age of seven at the Aladár Tóth Music School. In 2018, she was accepted to the Béla Bartók Secondary School of Music, and, although she won first prizes in several competitions in Budapest and Hungary, her heart was drawn to singing and jazz. She is now studying jazz at the Liszt Academy under Ágnes Lakatos and Júlia Karosi.
