100 Member Gypsy Orchestra Charity Gala Programme for the “Our Children are our Life” Foundation

Since they formed in November 1985, this unique orchestra has given over a thousand concerts and is the ambassador of music and culture. They have enjoyed great success not just in Hungary and Europe but also Asia, America, Australia and New Zealand. They have also worked with such diverse and gifted musicians and bands as Boban Marković, József Lendvay, Béla Szakcsi Lakatos, Miklós Szenthelyi as well as the Bartók Quartet and the Budapest Klezmer Band. Their repertoire contains works by classical composers such as Liszt, Bartók, Kodály, Brahms, Bizet, Offenbach, Rossini and Johann Strauss. The “Our Children are our Life” Foundation gathers donations to support health institutions, children’s hospitals and rescue centres. As part of the charity concert, life saving equipment will be handed over to the county organisations of the National Rescue Service and the Szent László Hospital.
