Artistic director and conductor:

Ádám Fischer
bass-baritone Gábor Bretz

Featuring:

soprano N. N.
mezzo-soprano N. N.
Hungarian Radio Symphony Orchestra

Popular arias, duets, overtures and orchestral passages from the works of Richard Wagner

Following up on his October song recital and January oratorio performance, Gábor Bretz, Müpa’s artist of the 2026/27 season, will take the stage in a third capacity: as an opera singer. In the Wagner Days series, we have had the opportunity to watch him portray Fasolt in Das Rheingold, Hermann in Tannhäuser and Pogner in Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg. On other major opera stages around the world, He has also sung the roles of Daland in Der fliegende Holländer and Wotan and the Wanderer in the Ring. Now he will be dedicating an entire evening to some of Wagner’s most popular arias and duets. Taking the lead role between the vocal numbers as they play overtures and symphonic passages from the composer’s operas will be the Hungarian Radio Symphony Orchestra under the baton of the artistic director of the Wagner Days series, Ádám Fischer.
