Christmas Day – lesson 24
A true musical treat awaits the audience as part of the Transparent Sound New Music Festival. The first half of the evening presents the diverse compositional world of István Márta, with the composer himself taking part, while the interval will be followed by the Modern Art Orchestra, led by trumpeter-composer Kornél Fekete-Kovács, performing the multi-layered, genre-defying works of the world-renowned American composer and trumpeter Jalalu-Kalvert Nelson. The musical repartee between the two artists promises to be an incredibly intense, relentless and exhilarating experience for anyone curious to hear what it is like when the most exciting figures in contemporary music and jazz come face to face.
The concert will be preceded by an Hungarian-English-language discussion with the performers from 6.30 pm.
The festival is made possible thanks towith the friendly support of the Ernst von Siemens Musikstiftung.
