CAFe Budapest Contemporary Arts Festival
2–18 October 2015
Between 2–18 October, the CAFe Budapest Contemporary Arts Festival offers special, not-to-be-missed forms of entertainment. With almost 110 events at 40 venues, the colourful programme includes productions in classical and pop music, jazz and world music, opera, theatre and contemporary circus, along with evenings of literature and visual art exhibits. In addition to the best Hungarian performers, this special festival also features international stars, co-productions and premieres.
Organized on the 24th occasion, Hungary’s most important festival of the contemporary arts is realized in a cooperation between Müpa Budapest, the Budapest Festival and Tourism Centre, and Hungarian Tourism Inc. The list of usual venues – Müpa Budapest, Liszt Academy, Budapest Music Center, Trafó, Millenáris, and Bálna Budapest – is complemented by the Castle Garden Bazaar, and there will also be visual art performances and mini concerts at countless open-air locations. It adds to the colourfulness of the programme that Art Market Budapest, the contemporary art fair, will again be an associated event, and is held during the time of CAFe Budapest.
