Müpa Budapest is one of Hungary’s most significant cultural institutions and has become a defining meeting place for the domestic and international arts scene since its opening in 2005. Its programme offering, which spans a wide range of genres from classical music to pop, dance to contemporary circus, and youth programmes to literary evenings and film clubs, reflects a commitment to quality and diversity. In addition to its world-class concert hall and theatre – the Béla Bartók National Concert Hall and the Festival Theatre – the venue also hosts the Ludwig Museum of Contemporary Art, and boasts the Hungarian National Philharmonic Orchestra as its resident ensemble. Among the most significant festivals organised by Müpa are the internationally renowned Budapest Wagner Days, the Bartók Spring and the Liszt Fest. Through these programmes, the institution plays a prominent role in fostering international cultural relations, as well as in initiating and supporting the creation of new works and innovative productions.

MTVA operates as Hungary’s public media provider and is one of Europe’s oldest broadcasters, with more than 2,000 employees working to produce content accessible worldwide on terrestrial, satellite and online platforms. It has seven television channels (M1, M2, M2 Petőfi TV, M4 Sport, M5, Duna and Duna World) and also seven radio stations (Kossuth Radio, Petőfi Radio, Bartók Radio, Dankó Radio, Csukás Meserádio, Szakcsi Radio and National Sport Radio). Its online content reaches audiences via the Hungarian News Agency (MTI), hirado.hu and the National Archive, as well as the Médiaklikk web, telephone and smart TV applications. MTVA’s mission is to serve the public, impart value and provide entertainment both within and beyond Hungary’s borders through cultural, news and talent shows (e.g. Virtuózok, A Dal, Csináljuk a fesztivált!). It also broadcasts international content on Duna World and its ethnic minority radio channels, and has active and regular social responsibility programming, the best known of which is the long-standing fundraising campaign Jónak lenni jó! (It's Good to Be Good!).
