Festival Theatre
MR2 Acoustic+ from Müpa Budapest

Featuring:

vocals, guitar Vera Jónás

guitar Márton Fenyvesi

Singer, songwriter and guitarist Vera Jónás writes and performs her songs in a crossover style which blends live electronics with an entirely acoustic sound, thereby lending a unique and original style to her compositions. Her music invites no comparisons, and yet it recalls many things. It is eclectic, fresh and very new. Such an original personality transports the audience, breaking down the barrier between stage and auditorium and drawing us into their world of sounds.
Vera Jónás already has several years of musical experience behind her, and gained a degree from the London Centre of Contemporary Music in 2012. She has lived and worked for years in London and Budapest, giving many concerts with her bands in both cities. In autumn 2012, she was chosen as one of 32 young musicians to participate in the OneBeat programme sponsored by the US State Department, which consisted of a two-week workshop residency in Florida followed by a 16-date tour on the Eastern seaboard of the United States and closing with a high-energy concert in New York.
Vera released her album Game in autumn 2013 under the musical direction of producer Márk Moldvai, guiding listeners through a highly fresh and mature musical world. This is popular music of a personal nature. For the time being, Vera’s songs are sung in English, but she is also preparing Hungarian lyrics for this concert in the Palace of Arts.
