Every Ferenc Snétberger concert is a celebration. This occasion marks the Kossuth and Liszt Ferenc Prize-winning guitarist’s 70th birthday, for which he will be joined by the members of his trio – bassist Anders Jormin and drummer Joey Baron –, and several very special guests. Within the framework of the Artist of the Season series, the Müpa Budapest audience already heard in December 2024 just how these three brilliant musicians soar together, when Matthieu Michel’s sensitive trumpet playing lifted them to still greater heights. We expect more of the same on this evening to remember. This will not be the first time Snétberger unites his creative energies with the Latin Grammy-winning harmonica player Antonio Serrano – they gave an unforgettable concert as a duo in Veszprém in 2024. It is an exceptional honour for the most promising students of the Snétberger Music Talent Centre to be able to make music with the man at the heart of the celebrations.
