When You Came

If we're talking jazz, no celebration is complete without a big band. On this occasion, the genre is represented by the Senior Big Band, recruited from jazz musicians who have graduated or are completing their studies at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music. The members of the ensemble have already given two hugely successful concerts under the direction of guitarist Attila László within the framework of the Jazz Showcase - with the double bassist Miroslav Vitouš in 2012, and with the singer Patti Austin in 2014 - and so have already proven their ability to accompany a guest vocalist with a sure hand, energy and exceptional good taste. Their joint appearance with the cream of the present crop of female singers on Hungary's jazz scene promises to be a benefit performance for all present. Each of these ladies represents a different tone and style, but all can rightly be described as true jazz divas.
