Concerts are back! As soon as it opens its doors once again, Müpa Budapest is serving up a new festival for jazz lovers. After 15 successful years, the New Orleans Swing Festival will now be known as JazzTime, as it continues its commitment to the traditional values of jazz, but with a wider selection of styles. The audience can look forward to delights for both the eyes and ears, with an uplifting performance featuring a host of big band classics and the ladies taking centre stage.

The four singers on the podium represent the very best of Hungarian swing music. Myrtill Micheller has wowed audiences on many occasions at Müpa Budapest and other concert venues with her Voice & Guitar duo, Swinguistique combo, big bands and even as a soloist for symphonic orchestras. She is also known for her flawless diction in both English and French. Kriszta Pocsai has long been one of the most sought-after jazz singers in Hungary. She spent many years as a host of jazz programmes on Hungarian Radio, has recorded an album with Béla Szakcsi Lakatos, is a permanent member of the band SoLaTi, a guest performer for the Balázs Bágyi New Quartet and the István Elek Quartet, and also leads her own quartet. Éva Bolba is an indispensable performer of traditional Hungarian jazz festivals, a staple guest singer for the Hot Jazz Band, and has also given concerts and made joint recordings with the Budapest Jazz Orchestra. Eszter Munkácsy is a Shure Montreux Jazz Voice Competition finalist, and also conquered the audience of the 2018 Jazz Showcase as a member of the Vintage Dolls group.
The BJC Big Band, the home band of the Budapest Jazz Club, was formed from some of the finest musicians of the Hungarian jazz scene. In 2019, they starred behind the multi-instrumentalist, singer, tap dancer and one-man band Gunhild Carling at the Béla Bartók National Concert Hall.
