Christmas Concert
28 December 2017, Thursday
6:30 pm - 9 pm
Béla Bartók National Concert Hall

Almost everyone is familiar with Muzsikás at this point. As an ambassador and genuinely unique phenomenon of Hungarian musical culture, they have been a fixture of major stages and festivals in Hungary and around the world for decades. Everywhere they go, their vibrant music and direct performing style win over the local audience. Their Christmas concert is now a tradition, as is including among their guests authentic masters of folk music from the villages, along with their urban counterparts and famous performers. This year's show starts off by evoking the intimacy of Christmas and then leads into a more boisterous celebration of New Year's and the dancing and fun of its unrestrained secular merriment.
