Malek Andi Soulistic - Birthday Jubilee Concert
19 November 2022, Saturday
7 pm - 9:30 pm
one interval
Festival Theatre

This year marks the sixth anniversary of Malek Andi Soulistic, who have given us a new understanding of the sound of soul music. The band was formed in 2016 as a collaboration between the renowned singer Andrea Malek and the pianist-composer Bandi Jáger. The formation is a unique project that combines jazz and soul with folk music - the name ‘Soulistic' refers to the close connection between the soul and music.

At this concert, Malek Andi Soulistic will play a selection of their favourite songs from the last six years, though the band is also preparing some surprises, with star guests, images and video clips. "Six years ago, when I invited Andi Malek to a concert as a guest performer, I would never have imagined it would be a fateful meeting and that this production would be such a success,” said Bandi Jáger about the formation of the band. Jamming sessions and total faith both play a major role in their shows. The singer's unmistakable voice and lyrics, the jazz pianist and songwriter's fresh and exciting worldview, and the combined dynamics of a band of extraordinary musicians promise to offer a unique and spiritual musical experience.
