Led by Kálmán Balogh and Mihály Dresch, a line-up of outstanding Hungarian musicians set out to prove that the cimbalom and the tárogató, two quintessentially Hungarian instruments, have not only an illustrious past but also a promising future. The concert is based on the twin pillars of folk music inspiration and the improvisational freedom of jazz. Before the concert, from 6 pm, the audience will have the chance to take part in an informal discussion in the Banner Square while viewing the unus...ual instruments on show there.
