Goran Bregovic has been writing his immortal music for films and theatre for fifteen years now and again is hear to play them in concert. In his early career, he appeared on stage as a rock musician but after a long musical journey, created his own unique style that requires just a couple of bars for universal recognition. Born to Bosnian and Serbian parents, this guitarist-singer brings to life Balkan melodies and in particular the music of weddings and funerals in his compositions which are also rich with Balkan gypsy music as well. His band is appropriately named the Wedding and Funeral Orchestra. His best known work was written for his collaboration with film director Emir Kusturica, such as Time of the Gypsies, Underground or Black Cat, White Cat, with led to smash hits across the world.
