Müpa Home

We would like, even during this extraordinary situation, for the Müpa Budapest audience to still be able to encounter the world's most outstanding and thrilling artists each evening - this time in their own homes. It is precisely for this reason that we will open Müpa Budapest's virtual concert hall and auditoriums - each night at the familiar times - by providing access to a single unforgettable performance from past years.

The performance will be broadcasted on our website and YouTube channel.

The guitarist and songwriter Ferenc Snétberger has risen to international fame with a style refined to perfection over the past three decades. His at once virtuoso and remarkably sensitive play, as well as his unique 'classical-jazz-brazil” compositions, are highly acclaimed not only in Europe, but also overseas. Following the release of a solo disc in 2016 by the prestigious label ECM and his 2017 trio album, he was joined by the Keller Quartet to record his brand new CD, which came out in February this year. Ferenc Snétberger appeared here in concert in 2017 before the Hungarian audience with his then brand-new trio, in which the British Phil Donkin plays double bass alongside the New York-based Ferenc Németh on the drums. Their special guest will be the Norwegian trumpeter Nils Petter Molvær, one of the most distinctive figures in Scandinavian jazz.

The recording was made at the concert held at Müpa Budapest on 22 February 2017.
