Hip-hop, bass beats, electronica, scratch, elements of film and folk music, a pinch of classical music and a hint of jazz... This masterful mix is blended together to create the songs of DJ-producer Bootsie (Vilmos Solymosi), who has been working in music for more than 20 years. He has written music for theatres and film scores and his music can be found in countless prestigious selections, series and even fashion forums - these include the Buddha Bar, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and Vogue.de. He also wrote the score to Oscar-winner Ference Rófusz's animation film, Ticket. Dj Bootsie was commissioned by the Hungarian State Opera to prepare Erkel's two-part opera László Hunyadi, while he has also reworked and remixed excerpts from Wagner's music dramas Götterdämmerung and Das Rheingold - always bringing something new to the genre.
He is bringing out a new album in spring 2019 and will present it at Müpa Budapest. The Müpa audience can look forward to his usual trademarks and sounds (instrumental hip-hop, bass music, trap, tribal and cinematic music) with a strongly futuristic blend. The trio of musicians will be accompanied by images from an essential visual artist, Kemuri.
