This two-part concert will present the finest and most diverse aspects of the Belgian jazz scene. The Brussels Jazz Orchestra, Belgium’s leading big band, will be uniting its powers with the superb guitarist Philip Catherine, outstanding trumpet player Bert Joris and the distinctive singer David Linx to wow the audience as they perform a programme compiled especially for the Bridging Europe festival. We can look forward to a selection from BJO’s album Meeting Colours – which also featured Catherine and Joris – and songs from several albums made together with Linx, including tracks that help display the singer’s evocative personality and incredibly diverse vocal range.
Brussels Jazz Orchestra is structurally supported by the Flemish Community.
This programme is being organised by Müpa Budapest as a side event to the Hungarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
