Kossuth Prize-winning pianist Béla Szakcsi Lakatos is one of the internationally best-recognized Hungarian jazz musicians, a groundbreaking virtuoso and multi-faceted composer. His partners at this celebration are all young talents who have proven bfore at the Jazz Showcase that, despite their tender years, they are mature performers who may within a few decades be honoured with the same epithets as the legendary pianist. This evening we'll hear a jazz session among equals on stage. Backed by the rhythm section of Krisztián Lakatos Pecek and Dávid Hodek, instrumental soloists will follow one after the other. The evening will also feature an improvisation on two pianos, as well as a rare example of the young generation of male jazz singers, providing an uplifting and joyful experience for all those who are curious about the future of jazz.
