While devotees of both traditional and reworked folk music can look forward to plenty of special treats, it is possible there has never have a 'celebration' that offered so many new productions. Taking the stage will be the world-renowned Muzsikás, with their guests Hanga Kacsó, István Berecz and Áron Porteleki. A recent success story, the Magos Band will play a sets dominated by an equally authentic sound in both the concert hall and at the dance house. Also performing will be the a cappella trio Dalinda, composed of Sára Tímár, Johanna Orbán and Julianna Paár, which adds a wonderful freshness to authentic Hungarian folk singing, combined with a marvellous openness to other worlds. Mihály Borbély (joined by Mátyás Bolya, Hunor G. Szabó and Balázs Horváth) promise cathartic ethno-jazz, while Balázs 'Dongó' Szokolay this time accompanied by the Zoord Ensemble and Kornél Mogyoró as Zordongoló and Mitsoura will be accompanied by her new band - Márk Moldvai, Barna Gábos, Sándor Födő and András Jeli - to fuse the Eastern European Gypsy music tradition with motifs from India and North Africa.
