Hey, June!

This year, the five-member band 4S Street, who were founded in 2018 and play catchy, ethereal folk pop and alternative indie rock, will celebrate their fifth birthday. They have twice won the title ‘Most Beautiful Transylvannian Hungarian Song' with their compositions, in 2018 and 2021, and also received a Petőfi Music Award last year. The group comes to Müpa Budapest with an unusual show, as they present an unseen side of themselves to the audience, taking the stage backed by wind and string musicians.

4S Street were founded in 2018, and released their first full-length album, Fellegvár (Citadel), the following year, which brought them swift success. Over the next few years, the quintet, who play melodic, radio-friendly guitar music, have developed their sound further, producing incredible musicianship on their 2021 album Szebb napok (Better Days), which went gold and then platinum, before further reinforcing their popularity with a string of concerts in 2022. In the same year, they won the Band of the Year award at the Petőfi Music Awards, as well as being nominated for a Fonogram Award in the Discovery of the Year category. Their songs have had gained millions of plays and views on online platforms. For this unique occasion, they are preparing an unusual show in order to present an unknown side of the band to the audience. The original five-person line-up will be augmented by wind and string players, helping to place the band's songs into an entirely different musical environment. As the band explains: "Naturally, we will bring our most well-known songs, yet at the same time we are preparing some surprises that you can only see in this one-off concert.”
